A very rough estimate, not a guarantee and not financial advice. It uses the 2026 DFAS basic pay tables, your highest 36 months of base pay (High-3) for the pension, the 1% automatic plus up to 4% BRS match, the $24,500 IRS limit, and the app's default fund mix (70% C, 20% S, 10% G) at a moderate return of about 5.8% a year after inflation. It assumes promotions spaced evenly between now and separation. The app lets you set your real path, Continuation Pay, fund mix and more.

Screen by screen.

Every number below comes from one example career, worked out with the app's own math. All rough estimates.

What if my career doesn't go in a straight line?

Lay out your career as a timeline of milestones. Each one can be:

  • A promotion.
  • A reduction in rank, for example taking a lower grade to retrain into a new job.
  • A TSP rate change.
  • A rank change and a rate change together.

Pick High-3 or BRS and any separation year from 20 to 40. Tap a link in one card and the page glides to the card it points to, then opens it.

Am I leaving free match money on the table?

Under BRS the government puts in 1% of your base pay automatically and matches up to 4% more, for 5% in total. Put in less than 5% and the app tells you, with a rough estimate of what it costs you by separation.

  • A year-by-year staircase shows your money above the line, the government's below, and the $24,500 IRS limit. Tap a year to edit its rate.
  • Try every rate previews your whole plan at 1% or 2% higher or lower.
  • Add your Continuation Pay bonus (amount and year) and see a rough estimate of what it adds by separation, on the charts, Career Path timeline, Dashboard and Compare.
